Welcome to the Triton Regional School District’s Athletic Web Site.  The athletic programs of the Triton Regional School District are an integral part of the educational process and as such the athletic department encourages all students to participate in as many different interscholastic sports as possible. Participation in the athletic program provides experiences which allow student-athletes to develop physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally enhancing the growth and development of all the young men and women who participate.

Triton High School and Middle School Athletic Programs maintain an active and collaborative approach to the development of both academics and athletics for all of our students.  Participation of the student-athlete in the athletic programs provides an opportunity for the developing individual to be immersed in a diverse educational environment setting the stage for cohesion, socialization, and discipline, all of which are important for ultimate success in life. The athletic program at the High School consists of 25 sports and 43 teams that provide over 60 opportunities to participate in interscholastic athletics throughout the school year.

Spirit, pride, and sportsmanship are the backbone of the Viking athletic program. These three characteristics have helped the Triton School District create a tradition of excellence that is second to none.  Participation in the athletic program is a privilege that carries with it responsibilities to the school, the sport, the student body, the community, and the student-athlete themselves. These responsibilities focus on commitment, teamwork, preparation, dedication, and the establishment of high standards for conduct and attitude all of which enhance our spirit, pride, and sportsmanship.

The coaches of Triton Regional athletic programs demonstrate behavior that supports what is best for the character development of the student-athlete as a whole person.  Emphasis is placed on the importance of continuous improvement in both the mind and the body. A proactive approach, in conjunction with respect for hard work and individual differences, better prepares the student-athletes for the continually changing world

The Triton Regional School District Athletic Department is very proud of the traditions they have established over many years by many people who have committed themselves to excellence. As Viking student-athletes, you are part of that rich tradition. We invite everyone to help us in continuing this great tradition at the Triton by being great fans and supporters of our athletic teams.

*All Students participating in athletics will abide by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association

*Philosophy modeled after that of the MIAA and NCAA Division III Institution
